The Forgotten Birthday

Hello fellow humans! Today I sat at lunch, quietly watching my life around me continuing on as normal and wondering if anyone would ever remember that today was a special day. I did not wish to mention anything, I decided I would be the kind of person who slips silently into her old age rather than making a big fuss over it. Finally, around the end of the meal, my mom said, "Oh! Happy birthday Noelle." And Sarah added, "Oh yeah, happy birthday." That was about the extent of it. My dear (besides the fact that she turns into a monster occasionally) friend Mikaija called me and wished me happy birthday. I wish I could do something with my friends, but it's been so busy lately I haven't had much time to discuss it with my mother. I am now in my fifteenth year, and I can't help but wonder... will I ever get to celebrate before I turn sixteen?

  1. So I posted a comment on here and it showed up yesterday but today is disappeared. So here goes again. I posted a blog about your birthday for you so check it out. Also,

Kathy says "Happy Birthday, Noelle! Know that you are loved, and prayed for daily!"

    and

    Josh wrote this for you:

"Noelle! Thy witful charm knows naught of falter
When in thy lively cadence thou embrace
That often fabled role of drabness’ vaulter.

Pray thee, young one, continue now and then
To fight with vital valiance boredom’s army—
Thy shield thy character, thy sword thy pen.

    Happy Birthday!"

If need help interpreting it, let me know. You may need to use a dictionary. :-)

  2. I figured it out myself. After all, I'm older now, so I can do those kinds of things by myself.
