Idaho Trip

Aaaahhhh, it's been so long! I've been so caught up in my other blog. Plus, I haven't really been doing much besides writing and going on vacation.... Oh, yeah, I have pictures from Idaho! Duh! So here you go:

We drove up to Idaho. It was fun to see everything get greener and greener on the way. This is a picture of us passing through a canyon.

My Little Town by Simon and Garfunkel. That's what played through my head over and over on this trip.

"A train! A train! A train! A train! Would you could you on a train?"

Thunder, lightening, white figure on a hill... must be the Second Coming, right? Wrong. It was just a figure of mother earth.

The Calico Mountains. I liked them because they reminded me of cats.

What are those people doing, ruining my picture?!

River! We passed a lot of those. If I wanted to, I could probably post about 50 pictures of rivers... but don't worry, I'm not going to.

Not just train tracks, not just a bridge, not just a river... not even two of those... but a train bridge going over a river! I know I'm probably way too excited about this, but come on, I live in CA. It's amazing if you just see a body of water that's not in a swimming pool.

"It's biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig!!!!!!!!!" says Eli.

Dad used up every lego piece he could possibly fit up there. That tower is taller than Dad....

Reading. Gotta teach him early, right?

Now the question is, how do we fit it in the car?

Happy birthday, Sarah!

The philosophers. Look, they even both have their hands folded like philosophers do.

So there you have it, folks! We went river rafting, hiking in the rain, walking around downtown, playing Talisman and Settlers of Cataan, and watching Eli learn how to use my bamboo drawing tablet (that poor kid thinks bamboo is a computer gadget now *sigh*).

Here's Eli's drawing. The top part is Sarah's.

And that's the tale I have to tell to you!
