Once upon a time, there was a family of a Dad, a Mom, and two daughters, Bethany and Noelle (there were other kids, but they don't come into the story much). Now this family was getting ready for the Christmas holidays and they needed to find a place to put the tree. But no matter how they arranged it, something was wrong. One way, the fireplace was blocked. Another way, no one could see the tv. Another way, the Christmas tree was hidden. They tried every which way, and still they could not figure it out. Then their youngest daughter came up with a solution. They tried it. It worked. They looked at it. Looked strange. But it worked. So they kept it that way. They bought a Christmas tree and they placed lights on it and put it in the window for all their neighbors to see and enjoy. All that they needed now, was presents and the rest of the family.... And stockings and ornaments and ham and a kitten, some wreaths on the doors and... (etc. etc.).
The End
True Story,
By Noelle Bryan.
So...why didn't they just put it where they put it every year?
