Awana Summer Event #1- Game Day

Okay, so now that school is technically finished, and Summer has technically started, I will be posting a bit more frequently. I just got back from a fantastic 7 1/2 hours of fun at IBC with my amazing friends, Mika, Laurel, Mandi, Taylor, Davis, Mickey, Josh, Jeff, Wendy and Andryw. Today we went to church and played the fantastic game, Munchkin, of which Mika and I won once because we defeated a monster that gave us a treasure card for every party member, of which there were eleven... that was pretty much handing us the win right there. If you haven't played Munchkin, I strongly advice you to find someone who owns it and play it or if you don't know anyone who owns it buy it yourself because it is totally worth it!!! Anyway, after that we drove down to Subway/Rosa Maria's and got some lunch and after driving back we played a couple of rounds of (insert unknown word here, I didn't catch what Jeff called it) spoons, where we hid the spoons in another room except one and when someone got four of a kind, they grabbed the one spoon in the middle and everyone else had to go find the rest. That was fun because I'm not fast enough to grab a spoon so I'm usually the first one out, but this way I always managed to get a spoon. After this, we all went down to the pavilion and played Capture the Flag, President, Civil War, and Free for All with water balloons, which was really cool (no pun intended). I got soaked because I requested they pour the bucket of water on me, although I was not the only one. Once we got back upstairs and dried off, half of us played Munchkin while the rest played Settlers of Catan. Jeff won the first round, and the second round he really won, but nobody wanted him to win again, so they all gave me their cards so I could win before he could. And then we cleaned everything up and drove Mika and Josh home (yes, I know that the way it's worded implies that EVERYONE took Mika and Josh home, when in reality it was my mom, but I was too lazy to fix it) and now I'm here typing this up and after supper I'm going to make a cake for tomorrow for Father's Day. Yay!!! I must say, today was a great day, and I suggest that even though half of the people are going to college next year, we should still do it and invite them as well... because it's just too much fun not to do it every year until we're too old to throw a water balloon... although even then....

  2. I didn't cheat. If you want to get technical about it, I won fair and square because technically I traded for the cards, it's just that they didn't want anything in exchange. But I'm nice and so I say that you won in reality, because if everyone hadn't been so anxious for you to lose, then you would have been the victor.
