Hugs
Okay, so a lot of people have wondered why I don't like hugs and I usually give them the answer "because I just don't like them." This isn't necessarily true. I DO like hugs. I just don't like... fake ones. What is a fake hug, you ask? Let me explain. Let's say you have person A who likes to give hugs to everyone he/she sees. Person A will hug anyone for anything. Then there's person B who rarely ever gives hugs. As a matter of fact, you've never even seen them hug a single person. Now lets say that something really bad happened and you want a hug from someone. Would a hug from person A or B be more meaningful? Person A gives a hug all the time, why shouldn't they give you a hug at this time? That doesn't really mean anything. Whereas a hug from person B would make you think, "wow, they must REALLY care about me if he/she gives me a hug." You see? By giving a whole bunch of hugs you are actually downgrading the meaning and thought behind it. It might not be any different, but I know I enjoy a hug from someone I rarely ever get a hug from rather then, (sarcastically) "oh boy ANOTHER hug from that person." When someone over uses their supply of hugs, this is what I call a fake hug whenever they give me one. The only way for that person to be able to give me a hug without it seeming fake would be for them to not give me or anyone else a hug for a long time and then the next one would have more meaning, and that is what I would call a real hug. So, I like hugs, just not fake ones. If I ever tell you that your hug is fake it's because you're overdoing it.

This is going to be a real comment, not a fake one. In fact, i want my comments to be very meaningful therefore i will not comment until something very special comes along. However, what if i really enjoy every one of your posts and thus want to comment on them all. What do i do? Wait for a very special post that i especially like to comment on, or continue to comment on ALL the posts i like? I agree with your assessment on hugs, but does this extend to posts and other aspects of our lives?
ReplyDeletehmmm very true this is reminding me of....something that i'm going to post later on my blog XD lol i'll do it on my blog XD
ReplyDeleteJeffery, there are more words in the English language than there are hugs in the world. You can have a large variety of conversations when commenting, or conversing, however hugs do not have much variety, and thus they should not be used up too quickly. Also, if your comments weren't as interesting as my posts and if they were all similar, I would get tired of them pretty fast.
